The dress to party in. The dress to make a statement in. The dress you’ll feel eternally cool in. The low-down on the dresses to get you through this summer.

Aah summer; when you need nothing more than a dress and a little skin to make an outfit. Anything that constitutes an instant outfit will always be a winner in my books. Plus; any dress worth it’s salt should always be a two-for-one deal. And by that I mean depending on your footwear and makeup situ, you should be able to wear said dress to almost any occasion under the sun.

The LWD aka the Little White Dress

The LBD’s carefree sister that you can always rely on to make you look super tan (even when you aren’t). The LWD works as much at the beach with bare feet as it does on a night out with a slick of red lippy and statement earrings.

Anything with Polka Dots

Florals for spring? Well summer ’tis the season of polka dots. It’s the print that isn’t really a print; aka you can wear it like a neutral and pair it will pretty much anything.

The Long-Sleeved Dress

Traditionally summer dresses are slinky and show a lotta skin; which is why there’s something effortlessly cool about donning a dress with sleeves. Especially when your hemline is of the thigh-skimming variety; it adds a little mystery.

The French-Girl Tea Dress

At first glance it may look cutesy, but with a short hemline, a bare face and tousled locks the humble tea dress is actually kinda sexy without really flashing much skin at all. It’s the perfect city dress; just throw on some simple sandals and a wicker tote and you’ll feel just like a French girl

The LBD

The LBD took a little time off for a while there; but true classics never really die now do they? And this time around, the LBD isn’t only reserved for a fancy night out. When you’re on holiday, dress it down with bare feet and a straw hat by day, then add heels and slicked back hair for a seriously luxe look.

The Floral Maxi That Makes You Feel Like You’re On Holiday, Even When You’re Not

The floral maxi that makes a statement and instantly transports you to a time where days are filled with spritz, sun and long balmy nights. Or if you want to channel more city-cool, pair with boots or trainers for a downtown edge.
