The search for the perfect swimsuit ends here

Despite seemingly limitless options, the search for the perfect swimsuit often feels like a futile task. So where to find an uncomplicated, well-crafted swimsuit that focuses on clean lines and a banging cut? I’ve rounded up a few of my personal favourites; the bikinis and one-pieces which I always end up wearing on repeat every summer, year after year.

Matteau Swim

For the ultimate minimalist, the search for the perfect triangle bikini ends now. Matteau Swim are the masters of clean, uncomplicated swimwear and they serve it up straight. Skimpy yes, but not overtly sexy. Matteau make the sort of swimwear you pull out every summer.

Her The Label

Sydney based brand Her The Label are my go-to for killer one pieces. Think form-fitting, eternally flatting and a touch sexy without breaking the bank. They are also, somewhat unsurprisingly, the third Australian brand to appear on the list. What can I say, Aussie’s know a thing or two about summer.

Solid & Striped

Don’t be fooled by the bold colour palettes; Solid & Striped understand clean, simple silhouettes with a modern twist. Fun stripes, bold colour-blocking and flattering cuts are their jam. But for the more minimally-inclined there are plenty options of the black, white and navy variety.

Eres

For an elegant edge look no further than French label Eres. Intelligently crafted swimsuits created with high-tech materials and made to last – they don’t come cheap – but on the plus side they are eternally chic, which is not a word one usually associates with swimwear.

Marysia Swim

For an understated feminine flavour, Marysia Swim balances the line between cute and clean. Traditional bikinis are given a girlish edge with scallop hems and unexpected cut-outs.
