As someone who’s been alternating between denim mini skirts and my Re/Done’s for the better part of the past six months (as evidenced here and here) it feels somewhat foreign to pull on a dress and heels.
I’ve become so reliant on casual separates and easy laying that apparently dressing up is no longer part of my sartorial lingo. Sure, I’m all for pulling together a slick two-piece suit or oversized trousers with a crisp shirt for a night out. But when the occasion calls for a dress (as in a classy dress and a pair of heels, no jacket, and definitely no white tee) I don’t exactly feel like me. And I definitely don’t feel cool.
So after some internet sleuthing let me introduce two dresses which are legitimately fun, can actually been worn semi-casual or full-blown glam, and, most importantly, are in no way prissy. Let the weekend dressing commence.
