Let your sleeves hang low
Nothing like trends returning for the second time around to make you feel you older than you’d care to admit, right? Denim skirts. Chokers. Velvet. The Spice Girls are probably going to release a Greatest Hits, Remastered album any day now.
Fashions latest reincarnation comes by the way of the long-sleeve dress complete with the floral prints and high necklines of yesteryear. But like any sartorial comeback worth it’s salt, this latest edition of the long-sleeve dress is a slicker, cooler and more grown up.
The long-sleeve dress has the potential to feel a matronly, so pair with bad-ass boots, keep accessories fuss-free and don’t go to crazy with the prints unless that’s your thing. Stripes, spots or stars (no I’m not pledging allegiance to the flag) are a safe bet if feminine frills or loud florals are not your cup of tea. I wasn’t sure about this backless Vetements dress and yet I’m sashaying all over Barcelona in it, so there you go. It’s a revival, get on board.
