The Beach

Cala Mitjana in Menorca, Spain

What’s the deal?

To be fair Menorca is home to some pretty sexy beaches, so it doesn’t feel totally fair to single out just one. But with it’s luminous blue waters and epic cliff-top views, Cala Mitjana is up there in the beach-stakes.

How to get there

Located on the south side of the island, the road to Cala Mitjana is a quick drive from the resort town of Cala Galdana. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the carpark through the bush so where sensible shoes.

The low-down

Despite it’s popularity, Cala Mitjana is 100% au naturel which means there’s not a beach lounger or snack bar in sight. So take plenty of water and whatever other supplies you may need. It’s the kind of place you can easily spend a day out, so don’t go empty handed.

If you’re of the particularly brave variety head over to the rocky cliffs on the left hand side of the cove for some serious cliff jumping.

The final two images were shot with Parrot Bebop drone. For more beaches to bookmark, check out The Beach Series.
