The minimalists guide to metallic
As someone with zero feminine and/or sparkly inclinations I totally get that the metallic pleated skirt may not be high on everyone’s list. Considering I call myself a minimalist, this golden pleated number is pretty much the antithesis of everything I usually wax lyrical about.
But hear me out. It’s the antidote – at least for me anyway – to the comfortably predictable wardrobe I’ve built up over the past 12 months. You know, the slouchy tees, the well-worn jeans, the boyish shirts, all in various shades of blue, black white and grey.
Ease into metallic pleats (which need not be gold, by the way) with a slouchy black tee (as mentioned above) and white trainers. Once you’re feeling like you got the metallic momentum down, take things up a notch with cool-girl boots and a vintage tee; essential for balancing out the girlish pleats.
