The Style Set

My new collaboration with Moochi is live

I’m super excited to share my design collaboration with New Zealand label, Moochi. This is my second time being involved in their Style Set project (last year I designed a midi black dress, or MBD if you will) and it was a lot of fun bringing this voluminous, super-sleeved blouse and fluted dress to life. Plus it’s always special working with Kiwi brands; it’s nice to have that connection with home!

The blouse was created out of my love for the traditional white shirt. I have more white shirts in my wardrobe than I care to count – although in my defense they are all on high rotation. With this design I was looking for something a little more romantic and adventurous than your usual button up. The lines are clean and the overall shape is still quite minimal – but it’s the sleeves and oversized silhouette that give it that extra kick. And the dress is pretty much an extension of the blouse – fluted sleeves, a slouchy shape and a touch of volume.

If you live in New Zealand and would like to check out the pieces you can head into any Moochi store. Or if you live further afield, you can get your hands on the Jessie blouse and Jessie dress online at Moochi for the next week.
